I am currently building a pair of bull riding spurs for Collin Mctaggart, he is the number ten bull rider in the world on his way to the WNFR. He plans to wear my spurs this year at the finals. I was just wondering who was the most famous person any of you have ever built a set of spurs for. I just thought this may be an interesting subject..

I built a set of spurs for J.W. Hart this year... It was a really neat deal..The group of guys here locally that put on the JW hart pbr challenger event asked me to make him a pair to celebrate his official retirement and last ride...There were some pics I had Stewart to post a while back...

Jerry Falkner built the spurs that Tom Selleck wore in "Monte Walsh". That's about as cool as it gets.

Sent a package to the East coast today. Can't say where or to who. Think that it may be a Christmas present. A famous guy? Yes. A rich guy? Yes. Sometimes, you just have to keep this stuff under your hat. Christmas is coming.

I made two sets of spurs for PBR Bull rider Adriano Moraes, one pair for PBR rider Guilherme Marchi, another for Justin McBride, Ednei Cmainhas, and Paulo Crimber. I give them spurs when they come to my part of the woods (New England, CT & MA) just for fun, and because I am so thrilled I can make spurs as it was once only a dream of mine :-) Getting to know the PBR bull riders personally is payment enough and the thrill I get from knowing what they think about my work lets me know I'm right on track. I like to give away spurs when I can, it's my way of giving back all that I've been blessed with.

Well, since I don't yet make hardware (just saddles/leatherwork), I will have to just go with the most famous person I've made ANYTHING for. And actually, I'm making it right now. I am tooling a headstall for PRCA tie-down roper Justin Maass. Hopefully he will be riding it at the NFR. How cool would that be to see something you've made on TV! Right now it looks like it might be getting a nice set of Mike Anders buckles because I have them on hand, but Paul (NHCowboy on here) has sure been making me some great stuff, so who knows...

About 8 years ago I made a necklace charm for Laura Bush, and a money clip for Pres bush. George I know how you feel, Not the greatest engraving, but it is what it is.
May God Bless you, as He has me

I've heard it said..."it's a poor dog that can't wag it's own tail." Like Jeff, I don't YET make hardware, but I made a Californio style beaver felt hat for Jeremiah Watt's wife Coleen. She was wearing it in Elko when I stumbled across her last January. I made sure to compliment her on it. Now I need to learn to decorate the boot heel.
