Steve....howdy....you sent me over here from the Californios groups...and here I am trolling. Sorry no one is interested.

Do you raise big game hounds. What kind. I always loved Majestics and big Blue Ticks. Nothing sounds prettier than a baying hound. I used to run Catahoulas, really big ones, on bear, boar, and worked them on cattle.

Baquera

You mentioned a californios group. Is there a forum of California makers?

Hi Rod....actually it's a yahoo group dedicated to those of us who ride/practice/support/want info about Californio/Vaquero style horsemanship. And there is a gear section. Please do come on by and join us. It was a member over there who informed me about this group.

The more we of like minds network, the better. You can also post pics over there of your work if you have any!!!

Baquera glad you made it over, Yeah i raise and hunt big game hounds i have blueticks, Black and Tans, Walkers, And Kemmer Curs,I dont really worry about color a whole bunch as long as they can catch a lion or bear. I have a couple of Big dogs but for the country i hunt i prefer a smaller dog 45 to 60 pounds or so. I hunt some pretty rough rocky country and the smaller dogs just get around better and dont get as sore.I made a 20 mile circle yesterday with the dogs huntin a lion track but we dident find anything fresh enough to run.
Im with ya i sure like to hear and watch a hound work!
