Howdy fellers
Here is something I am really proud of, and wanted to show off. This is not finished, but I hope to get it done soon. This is a collective effort between several folks, in total there will be 6 people who have had a hand in this project. I am going to have all four bolsters engraved, each by a different engraver. I am asking each engraver to engrave what he thinks would look good, I dont want to put any restrictions on anyone , just ask them to do their thing and let them go. This is going to be a really nice one of a kind item.
This is a Buck 110. I replaced the original scales with mamoth ivory and blue spacers behind the ivory. I also file worked the back spring.
The scrimshaw work was done by Mike Capron, and the work here is above anything I could have imagined. I told Mike to just do something western, I didnt care what, just surprise me. As you can see, He did an outstanding job.
The knife went next to Mikes son, Wilson Capron, who is in my opinion one of the best western engravers there is, and a super good person to boot. WIlson has always been very good to help me out and give me advice and ideas. As you can see, Wilson did a superb job here.
The knife is going to be headed out for its next stop in a few days. I will post pictures as the work progresses.
You fellows take care, and have a good week.
