I made these spurs to look like a snake slithered on a spur. The diamonds
are inlayed silver. The rings for the rattles are loose enough if you shake
them they sound like a real snake. When you spin the rowel. The tongue
flicks in and out like a live snake.

I've had the pleasure of seeing these spurs in person and they are way cool. Pictures can't do these justice.

Cool spurs. What did you make the snake out of? It looks like rust browned steel. Did you pin it in place?

I started out with a 3/8 cold rolled rod and tapered it to look like a snake.
It is held on by one small weld. The way it is put on it almost snaps into place so the spot weld holds it tight.
