The Great Basin Gear show and sale will be in the museum in Elko this year. The cut off date is Jan.10th. You must have your pieces in with your applications and 50.00 entry fee by then.
If you need an application, call Paula Wright at Capriolas in Elko or myself(1-208-539-4013),or go to www.elkocva.com and got to the link at the bottom of the page and it will take you toa printable copy of the application and details. Remember that we will be paying out $$$$ for 1st,2nd and 3rd place as well as best of show.
All Items must have been made in the last 12 mos. and must be for sale.
(I believe that there will be a small commision of 15 percent to cover some of the expenses incurred by the musem for putting on the show ect.)
This is the 25th year anniversary for the poetry gathering and we are hoping for a big turnout inspite of all the bears in the woodpile.
I'm only as good as you think I am.

Any of you makers going to put something in this show? I got a call from silverchip yesterday to remind me of the show and I'm glad he did. It looks like a good deal and they don't keep your stuff for most of the year like the other show they are having for the bit, bridle and reins competition. He said to call if you have questions.

I had good intentions of doing something up to send down there, but time has slipped away on me and don't think I'll have anything ready. Next year, maybe!!

Richard,

I know just what you are talking about. I thought I would get more done this year than I did. I do have a set of damascus Cal. style spurs made that I plan to send up there just for the fun of it. I've never sent anything up there befor, hope it works out.

Hey guys,
The reason I posted this is that I just wanted to remind you or the up coming event . It was advertised in several publications including Western Horseman several months ago and the info for all entries was available then.Since this will be an ongoing show and sale,I sincerely hope that you take note of these opertunities and invite you to participate.
