Here is a pair built for a birthday gift . The customer took the picture for me .
The signature was kind of fun to put on .

Great pair of spurs. The signature and scroll work are very well done, super clean finish. Thanks for showing.

The scroll work fits the piece very well and is more modern than most I see on spurs today. Nice work. Keep posting.

Thanks for the positive comments , the finish is a buff polish , then I put the piece in the ultrasonic cleaner . then rinse under hot water and polish with a clean dish cloth .
Then I put them in the oven on broil untill the colour that I want apears . You have to carefully buff the oxidization off the overlays after it cools off . After the engraving of the overlays I put the pieces in mineral oil then wipe off .

What grade steel are you using? I love the finish. Very nicely done! The signature looks great on there.

Cold-rolled , I believe the carbon content is .19% .
