Leonard

Nice knife, like the way you layed the partial flower and scroll on it. Laughing

Jim

Nice to see you have survived New Years. Wink

New years was O.K, but this storm we had knocked the crud out of us. We were out of power for 4 days. Finally got some water in the hills for the cattle though. Just wish it would'nt all come at once.

Leonard, the cutting looks good, one suggestion I would make, is to experiment with doing a scroll design with a bit more interest. Maybe some intertwining of the scrolls or the vine coming out of the flower center, things like that. It will make the viewer want to take a longer look at the piece. Overall, you did a nice job, but just something to think about for the next one.

How did you go about doing the overlay,it looks very clean. Brian

Thanks Brian. To overlay I load the master in the pantograph. Trace the master. Then I cut out the shape. Clean up the edges. Soft solder onto knife. Clean up the edges with sander,3M deburring wheels, buff.
